Villa Solana in Porto Cervo Miata

It is a beautiful villa on the hill of Miata within a sub-fund of extra luxury villas built by the most famous architects in the world. The 12 villas are just minutes from all the services and at the same time immersed in the quiet of the granitic rocks and of the colours of Gallura.
The design preserves some features of the typical Sardinian architecture, especially on the outside. The interiors design has upset the local classical canons introducing a new contemporary and streamlined style. Large windows allow breathtaking views that make this property one of the most fascinating in the whole Costa Smeralda.
The particularities of Villa Solana are the view of priceless beauty that spans 360° and the granite rocks eroded and sculpted by the wind taking the shape of animals such as turtles, lizards, the face of the lion, the woodpecker, … the rest being left to the imagination of those living there.
Villa Solana seems suspended between sky and sea. It is like a golden eagle “myth of invincibility since it can fly high into the sun, becoming an emblem of direct perception of divine light and extreme sublimation.”
The 25 metres long swimming pool is set among the granite sculptures and has the shape of a musical key. It silently creeps from the outside to reach the inner part of the house. It is entirely clad in marble and it is equipped with large relaxation areas, heating system and a counter-current system.
Since ancient times a home is a refuge, it means protection and represents a meeting point between the energy of the earth and the sky. The architect applied the method Feng Shui that following the laws of nature teaches us to enjoy the most favourable energy of the space in which we live. To the Feng Shui, for example, the entrance of a house is one of the most delicate points of the dwelling. Is through it that the Ch’i (vital energy) passes and enters inside. In the entrance there should be no restrictions, it must be as free as possible. In fact, the internal and external paving was carried out in strips of marble of 20-40-80-110 cm of width converging to the centre of the hall and collecting the positive energy around the fireplace, also made of arabesque marble (fossil roots and shells).
The old sheepfold has been completely renovated, keeping the original Florentine cotto tile floor dated 1700 and the secular juniper beams.
The villa covers a total surface of 1,300 sqm including terraces and is divided into three separate buildings, all facing the sea and set around the pool. This is a new idea in space distribution that better suites the concept of a luxury villa, with a clear separation between master bedroom, family area and guest accommodation.
The villa consists of a living room, a dining room, a kitchen, a master suite with two bathrooms, a dressing room and a private terrace, a guest bathroom, a gym and a library; on the first floor there are two major suites each with bathroom and dressing room; the old sheepfold hosts two bedrooms with two bathrooms while an additional bedroom with dressing room and bathroom is located in the tower. The 6,500 sqm garden includes many terraces, a solarium, a swimming pool, a garage and two 2 covered parking spaces. Air conditioning is throughout the house while heating can work either from the air vents or through the floor. The villa has an alarm system and fire system.
